Nova - protagonist
28 year old Naga raised by a sorcerer.
Serious guy, very dedicated to his studies.
Very self-councious about his hissing.

Love Interests

Adrian
25 year old witch studying under Colinet to become an alchemist.
Him and Nova grew up together and over the years they realized that they don't really see each other as brothers.

Amber
24 year old shapeshifting witch studying magic under Colinet.
They never had much attachment to their sex (whatever it initially was) and so they often switch between feminine and masculine form - the more often the more it irks the person they're speaking with.

Side characters

Colinet
75 year old (looks way younger and is in much better shape then he should be thanks to magic) sorcerer and Nova's adoptive father.
Wanted to spend his old years in peace and quiet but then a small naga hatched from an egg he was left with.
Mashir
32 year old naga and Nova's brother.
The two of them grew up far away from each other. As soon as he found out about his sibling living in a far away land, he left the rest of his family to take care of his little brother.
